The tour covers the entire brick-making process from beginning to end, including the mining, mixing, grinding, and screening of clay or shale; the shaping, molding, drying, and firing of brick units; and the sorting, shading, mingling, packaging, storage, and eventual delivery of finished Acme Brick products.
Participants will also learn about the benefits of brick as a cladding material as well as how Acme and other brick manufacturers are working to reduce energy consumption, greenhouse gas emissions, and waste production within the brick industry.
