What are bricks made of and how?
Brickmaking starts with quality natural clay or shale, which is pressed through an extruder, and cut into shapes. This “green” brick is then stacked and fired in a kiln at temperatures up to 2200 degrees Farenheit for up to two days. Once cooled the finished brick is packaged and ready for use.
