This home was built in an established neighborhood after removing the existing home and preserving the large oak and pine trees. The design morphs out of two styles, “Tudor” and “Nantucket.” both of which beg to be set in a suburban setting surrounded by aged landscaping to give the appearance of an old stately home. Given those design criteria, the materials of the home needed to reflect that same old stately appearance. That is why “Old Savannah Tumbled” king-size brick was chosen for this project. The brown hues in the brick along with the face irregularities represent that old world style and aged appearance needed to compliment the cypress, plaster and copper materials used on the exterior of the home. The warmth of the materials invite visitors into the home through the giant oaks and beautifully landscaping surrounding the home.
