This rail station occupies a prominent site in downtown Grapevine to serve the TEXRail commuter rail line that links Grapevine with downtown Fort Worth and DFW International Airport. project. The station is sited alongside the historic Cotton Belt Railroad line and just south of the restored historic Cotton Belt Depot and the Grapevine Heritage Center. A prominent example of transit-oriented development, it is a significant asset to the downtown Grapevine Historic District and serves as a “front door” to the district from the south. Its design, which is capped by 150-foot clock tower, recalls grand train stations and complements Grapevine’s ongoing historical preservation efforts and vision of its downtown’s future.
